Excellent newcomer to the sandwich scene. Have been looking for a place that makes a buffalo chicken similar to what Shamrock used to make before they closed. It was absolutely fantastic. My fiancee tried the ruben and loved it (i dont like rubens at all so i am deferring to her opinion). The order-yourself idea is pretty neat too.....but the sandwiches are fresh, very tasty, and they don't skimp on the add-ons. I am not a fan of their homemade chips personally however the fiancee loves them - just wish the bag had more in it....looks like a sizeable side until you open it up and see that its just a small handful of chipa. We have been back twice already.

The sandwiches are great; there are a ton of ingredients you can have in 14,128,182,027 ways. Now for the bad part... This place NEVER has sandwiches ready if you order ahead of time. If you walk in, they tell you to use the drive-thru. If you use the drive-thru you sit there and wait while they make the order you placed 35 minutes ago. I honestly prefer their food to Mikes, Jimmy Johns and Pot$elly, but the hassle really prevents me from returning often. Pro Tip: Their house chips are excellent, but there are like 7 of them in a bag.

First visit to this store and we won't be back. It's just not a good value compared to other sandwich shops in the area. For a 14 inch sandwich, a 10 inch sandwich and two drinks, we paid $25 which might have been ok if what we got was outstanding. I ordered a skinny ham and pineapple sandwich with red onion, lettuce and a little bit of honey mustard. I expected for the money paid to get a nice grilled piece of pineapple, but what I received was crushed pineapple like you get from a can. Shredded iceberg lettuce, about three little pieces of red onion and some deli ham was the rest of it. The pineapple made it a soggy mess as it ahead completely soaked through the bread. I could have eaten it with a spoon at that point. If you're in the area, JJ's makes a better sandwich with better quality ingredients. If you don't mind driving a little further, Algonquin sub shop has the very best sandwiches in the Chicago area.

Really good food! It's like subway, only better. Instead of having to stand in line behind those indecisive people, (or being one of them yourself), you get to choose a bag based on the kind of sandwich you want and mark off all of your toppings, sauces, etc. the bread is absolutely delicious! The staff here are very helpful and friendly as well! Definitely a place to check out!!

Great handcrafted sandwich. It starts with filling out a paper bag that has your sandwich information printed on it This made the order placing processing very quick and the sandwich turned out just as I wanted it. Warm and delicious. A long with a hand made shake it was a perfect lunch with a friend. Little pricey, but worth it

I have been here a few times and can't wait to go back. Great selection of sandwiches and toppings that are hard to find anywhere else. Prices are good and the customer service has always been top notch. Store is clean and conveniently located. Love the idea of putting together your own order on the bag. It was a bit confusing the first time I went, but the young lady working the register quickly stepped over to explain. Good selection of vegetarian options

I'm giving it 4 stars because the pricing is kind of high for a basic sandwich. I'd call this place very comparable to Potbelly Sandwiches, which is also about the same price range. I would recommend this place for those who like more variety and like to try new things! I didn't mind filling out my own bag, because at least this way if it wasn't what I wanted as a sandwich, I had proof of my order. On the wall they have a guarantee that offers a new sandwich, a refund, or both if you are unsatisfied. I'm glad they advertised it, just in case! The only issue is one woman brought three bags to the front register, but didn't fill them out. She expected the cashier to do it for her. I can't blame this woman, though, because it's a little confusing. I wish they posted drink prices and such above the cash register so you don't have to go back and see the price lists. Overall, I'm pretty impressed, and I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Unique ordering method, excellent for first timers and people who arent sure what they want. They made suggestions for making my sandwich better. And it was soooo good! I got the Thank You, which is Turkey, stuffing, and cranberries. I ordered cheddar, but got swiss upon their recommendation, bacon, walnuts. Decently priced. It was around $6 for the 7 inch sandwich and small drink. I will definitely be coming here again.

I went here tonight for the first time with my Mom's group. The ordering is a bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of it the choices for dressing up your sandwich, wrap or salad are really great. I had the Thank You turkey which was really good. I think everyone ordered something different and everyone said their choices were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good sandwich or salad.

One star because I cannot select no stars. The sandwiches are AWFUL. The amount of meat on the reuben is pitiful. For a 7$ sandwich it was embarrassing. I'd never go back based on that. To further the pain it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to order my sandwich that came out wrong anyways. The ordering system is obsurd. The place is dirty and vibeless. Garbage was overflowing with employees sitting around. No music was playing, the floors cement and there are mismatched photos on the wall. Other than that it was... nah just all terrible Oh and I forgot I had to bag my own sandwich. Lol kinda comical

Three of us ate there on March 6, 2015. We all thought the food was OK, nothing to write home about. Average sandwiches. The ordering process is extremely confusing. Since this is a new business and people are unfamilier with their process, they should either have someone standing there explaining it to you or have a set of directions available to read showing the process. They also really need to clean the dining area more often. It was very messy. I will give them one more try, since they just opened. They really need to work on the ordering process though. What a nightmare!

The sandwiches are awesome, but the giant tablet thing is a major pain to order on. I brought it up to the teenie Bob at the window but all she said was uhh it does that. Assuming that's what makes them unique from the other sandwhich joints...should be fixed...business 101. But great sammies

The amount of meat on the sandwich (I got turkey) is laughable for the price. Very skimpy. The turkey was also shredded, not sliced, making it very messy. I asked for a cold sandwich and it was made hot, the wait time was quite long, and the place has no atmosphere. I'll just go to Jimmy John's next time.

i was initially excited when this place opened up because I have grown tired of the normal 'sandwich artist' options. Unfortunately, my experience at Which Wich came up short. First of all, it's a lot of work for eating out. You go in and grab a bag off the wall, choose from about 30 different sandwiches and mark off all of the toppings you want. The concept is original, but I would prefer to just speak my order instead of taking 5 minutes reviewing and completing an order on a bag. On my visit I ordered a drink, but was not told that there were no diet or low calorie soft drink options. The diet coke was out of order for some reason. This place also is not a good value. 2 regular sandwiches, 2 chips and 2 drinks were $25. I can eat at a real restaurant for that price.

Ill start by saying this place is nothing to go out of your way for. The food is whatever, just reminds me of a litte fancier Potbelly. But what really got me was when i ordered a sandwich using their app. I ordered the sandwich and it confirmed it and said thank you so i immediatly got on my motorcycle to go and pick it up. Once i get there i go inside to pick up my sandwich and i am told by the owner that my transaction did not go through but not to worry because he can have it made extra fast and i can just pay there. I wasnt that bothered, it happens, right? So he grabs the little sandwich bag and re checks off all of the ingredients i wanted, sends the bag to the kitchen, and takes my cash instead of using the card. I was content after that. Now when i recieved the sandwich is when i decided to never pay for a sandwich at this place ever again. I ordered the tomato and avacado sandwich and they forgot the tomato, for one, and secondly they forgot onion, pickle, and lettuce. How do you botch an order THAT BAD. That was what made me decide never to come back, what happened next is what made me write this review. I go to look at my card statement this morning and i see i WAS charged by wich wich for that sandwich on my card AS WELL as having to pay for it in person, and wait for it, just to get the WRONG sandwich. I paid two times for a sandwich that was made horribly and wrong. Kinda hard to mess up a sandwich when EACH ingredient is checked off right in front of your face. Thanks wich wich, yall rock.

Great sandwiches with a crazy amount of options. This is a family business where the father and his teenage son. Good food at a good price that supports a local business. ..... I am in.

I like the concept of grabbing your designated bag and marking down exactly what you want. Unfortunately Crystal Lake Which Wich is lacking in execution. I've been here about five times now, and each time they have managed to miss between 2-5 toppings on my sandwich. Obviously they need to take the extra second to double check the bag before bagging it up. I was fed up the last time this happened and tried to call the store to complain and the phone rang 3 times then went to a generic voicemail message (a robotic voice telling me to leave a message) I was suprised by this and thought maybe I dialed wrong so I called again and same thing. I don't feel like I'll giving them to many more chances cause ultimately it's the convienence of the place that draws me in. I feel pretty certain I could duplicate most any sandwich there at home. (and actually get what I want on it).

this location and the Hoffman estates one are both just awful! The place smells weird and the quality of the food is so low on the bar. Such a waste of money. And it's super annoying when the employees come up and ask (with food in my mouth) how I'm doing and start talking about the special vibe club. Gtfo with that, I didn't even ask.

I overall loved the Elvis wich and give that particular sandwich 5 stars. But not so much the BLT or the ordering process. Upon entering you fill out your own bag about which sandwich you want and the condiments. Cute idea. I figured his would speed up he ordering process. Not so much when at 1215 on a weekday one person is at the register. I waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Id rather just order at the register. Even Jimmy Johns has 2 people manning register at lunch time. So after waiting i got the sandwiches. I was disappointed because the bacon on both sandwiches was crumbles not strips. Personal preference I don't like crumbles especially on a BLT. My BLT had barely any lettuce and a ton of bacon. I took half off and missed the lettuce. The Elvis wich i liked. I did remove half the bacon on this as well but the peanut butter honey banana mix was delicious with just a bit of bacon it was perfect. Overall if the ordering been better run and quicker Id give this place 4 stars. But it wasn't so 3.

I am so happy that this place opened up in Crystal Lake! I went there today for the first time and have no hesitation in giving them five stars. I walked in with a few other people behind me. None of us knew how to order. An employee noticed our confusion right away and gave us a "group tutorial" on how the ordering system works. I get that for some people it might be annoying to have to fill out your own order sheet, but I thought it was fun and with their wide variety of toppings, it really helped to see it written out. I thought my sandwich was amazing. I got a 7 inch turkey on wheat with a plethora of fixings. It came out fairly quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. It was fresh, flavorful and toasty. I hope to make this one of my regular lunch spots.

We decided to give this place a try for the first time today, and we were definitely impressed. The touch screen ordering system is pretty cool. I put ingredients on my sandwich that I have never tried before, and it was outstanding. The kettle chips are awesome, but they don't give you very many. I'd have to say that was the only downfall. Otherwise the sandwiches were delicious, and the bread was super soft and yummy. Definitely will be going back.

I decided to visit the Crystal Lake, and I wish I hadn't. First of all, the drive-through is a joke. You have to go through a series of touch screens to pick up an order, so I forced to go into the store. When I did, I noticed there was employees standing around, with no customers. Not good for a Saturday evening. I ordered a Turkey Club cold, which I ended up getting hot. On top of that, the sandwich had Mayo, which I didn't request.Nice too see the staff are paying attention to their customers. My wife ordered a Hula, which was very bland. On top of that, the sandwich had paper INSIDE the sandwich. On the whole, a very poor experience, compared to the Hoffmann Estates location. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I give this place a 2 1/2 star rating. As it stands this place really is 'meh', very mediocre at best. If you have never ordered here, it may confuse you as you check stuff off on bags and hand it to the cashier. Pre-selecting your order on the bags should, in theory, speed up the process, but it really doesn't make it faster. I have been here 3 times and the wait was about the same as subway with the same amount of customers. The dining area feels a bit sterile and less 'warm' as other places; perhaps due to lack of booths and way it is arranged. The tables were also a little dirty and the bag ordering area section seems to take on more space than it should, making the dining area feel even smaller. My first time here I was a bit confused on how to order, but quickly figured it out. I ordered what they call a cheesesteak. Not even close. It is full sliced lunchmeat with a little bit of cheese on top and a few caramelized onions tossed in. It's the exact same as a roast beef. Not really deli style or quality meats. The roast beef seems like prepackaged lunchmeat you buy in the meat and cheese section at the grocery store. The best thing here is the bread. It is soft, flaky, tastes fresh, and the warming/toasting process does not make it too dried and crispy. This is the biggest advantage they have over subway. Like some sub shops, you really have no say in how the sandwich is prepared outside of the basic ingredients. This means you may get overloaded with condiments but get few veggies. This has happened to me every time. My sandwiches felt anemic, yet sloppy. They also seem to mess up and skip veggies; happened 2 of the 3 times I went there and skipped more than just 1 of the extras. They are too light on the toppings, when they put the correct ones on. This is the main reason I like subway better - I can watch and make sure the employees do not miss anything, or have them add a little more. I went here the other day and got a drink. The cherry coke mix was off and I told the employee. It was not very busy and by the time I had left 20 minutes later, it was still not fixed. On the surface, the price seemed perhaps average. 3 sizes for the subs, and the medium (near footlong) size is $8.50, and the others are around $3 or so plus or minus. The quantity (or lack thereof) of veggies makes an average and pretty normal price seem more expensive. Final thoughts: I have not tested their app or drive thru so no comment there. I like the bread and what feels like a few more options than some competitors. Lack of being able to ask for less mayo or more of a certain kind of veggie is also a deterrent. If I do not have the ability to customize just how few or much of the toppings I want, I may as well go to JJ's or potbelly. At least they haven't screwed up my orders. The mistakes and anemic sandwiches happened too often to think it was a fluke. Three visits are enough to get a basic opinion, and I am pretty sure I will not be coming back anytime soon.
